Location: San Marcos, Texas
The Education Department at Texas State surrounds this small shady space. Sloping almost 20 feet from top to bottom, this garden retains two large live oaks trees, and adds comfortable seating, stairs and paving for relaxation, study and small outdoor classes. Landscape plantings include native palmettos, decorative grasses and perennials such as Turks’ Cap, columbine, purple lantana, and salvia. The feel of the garden is relaxing and inviting.
